Electronics Technician with a Swiss Federal Diploma

As an electronics technician, you work with experts to develop and implement electronic hardware and software. You participate in order processing and project planning and oversee manufacturing processes for electronic products. You create technical documents such as manufacturing documents for printed circuit boards. You also manufacture electronic devices or systems, carry out commissioning during measurement, testing, and maintenance activities, and develop inspection and testing procedures.

The apprenticeship lasts four years. It is divided into a two-year basic and supplementary training program which is completed by an intermediate test and two years’ specialized training with assignments in various departments. The apprentices attend classes at the Allgemeine Gewerbeschule Basel in Switzerland. We strongly encourage their obtaining professional maturity during the apprenticeship with us. Our apprentices are also offered the opportunity of international training (EUREGIO).

We are looking for young people with very good abstract and analytical thinking skills with an aptitude for technical contexts. Good grades in mathematics and physics are required. You also enjoy experimenting and tinkering, have excellent fine motor skills and the ability to work in a thorough, precise and careful manner.

Suitable students: good secondary school students, level E or P.

A suitability test (Multicheck technical for Electronics Technicians) is required.
