Information Technologist in Platform Development

As an information technologist with a focus on platform development, you are an expert in building, operating, and enhancing information systems. You are responsible for application systems, networks, and operating systems, both in the local data center and in the cloud. Your tasks span planning, implementation, ongoing development, and maintenance. This includes configuring and administrating systems, developing, and implementing concepts, testing systems, and providing support to users.

The apprenticeship lasts four years. It is divided into a wide-range two-year basic training program and two years’ specialized training in a certain specialist field (support, platform development). During the entire course of training, the apprentices attend the vocational school at the Berufsbildungszentrum Baselland in Muttenz for one to two days per week. The rest of the time, they are primarily assigned to the information technology department.

Our apprentices are also offered the opportunity of international training (EUREGIO), that is, the completion of an internship in a foreign country close to the border. We strongly encourage their obtaining professional maturity during the apprenticeship with us.

We are looking for young people with good grades in mathematics and English, as well as with good logical-abstract thinking skills. You should be able to work accurately, be a team player, enjoy dealing with computers and technical issues, have a confident manner and be able to express yourself well.

Suitable students: secondary school students, level E or P.

A suitability test (Multicheck technical for Information Technologist) is required.
